Manchester United Supporters Club Malaysia

Manchester United failed to qualify for the last 16 of the UEFA Champions league for the first time since 2005, after failing to get the needed point to book their place in the knock-out rounds.

The Red Devils went behind as early as the 9th minute after Marco Streller had given the hosts the lead. United tried to equalise but Alexander Frei put the final nail in the coffin by scoring 6 minutes from time.

Manchester United however managed to make it a frantic 4 minutes after Phil Jones scored with 1 minute remaining in normal time & captain Nemanja Vidic had to be stretchered off after a horrific injury which could lead to a lengthy spell on the sidelines.

United though will continue their European campaign through the Europa League, as they finished the group in third place.
