Match Report

Manchester United topped the Barclays Premier League for a few hours after a win against Malaysian owned QPR at Loftus Road. Wayne Rooney opened the scoring under 1 minute of the kick off after a great cross from winger Antonio Valencia.

The Red Devils could have added 2 or even 3 goals before the break after efforts from Danny Welbeck, Jonny Evans and Phil Jones were either saved by the goalkeeper or hit the post.

They did however managed to double their lead after a great solo finish by Michael Carrick, who intercepted a pass from the center of the pitch and went on a slalom run before firing it low to the keepers right.

United managed to keep another clean sheet and are now hot on the toes of their city rivals with a busy end of year fixture coming soon.
